IBKR - 还有改进的空间 - 非美国公民要注意 W-8BEN 表格

 IBKR(Interactive Brokers)盈透证券， 是美国名列前茅的大型在线券商，以手续费低，全球化和丰富的交易品种著称。 它目前提供了几个交易界面： - TWS：适合专业交易人员，对新手来说，一进去就会头晕，而且这界面的延迟也很令人困扰 - Client Portal (直接在网页浏览器登陆): 最适合新手，但是有些功能欠缺。 - Desktop App: 是较新的界面，目的是结合 TWS里较专业的功能和Client Portal较友好的界面。我的使用感受就是当IBKR的服务器不忙的时候，界面延迟会比网页界面小，使用体验较好，但是一旦和服务器的连接不畅，就会出现很多Glitch, 在我的mac mini上的表现就是我的屏幕开始在IBKR login界面和邻近的一个workspace之间跳，我还没法控制，整个是把我的工作台给劫持了，这个体验就非常不好。 - Mobile App: 奇怪的是手机界面是这几个界面里延迟最小的，很多时候网页界面卡在Loading状态时，我就转到手机界面，就没有延迟的问题。 今天要说到W-8BEN form, 这对所有投资美股但非美国公民/居民的人来说很重要。在IBKR开户的时候，一般会看到Tax form部分，这里要特别注意填写W-8BEN部分。 Consequences of Not Filing : Without a valid W-8BEN, IBKR may withhold 30% on U.S.-source income (e.g., dividends) or apply backup withholding at 28% on interest, dividends, and proceeds. 如果这个Form没有有效提交的话，美股分红就要付30%的 预扣税, 提交了就少付15%.  今天是在查看IBKR报告的时候发现分红都被扣了30%的税，然后去我的profile里看，发现Tax Form部分显示没有签名，所以这个form就被认为没有提交。 我可以保证当时绝对是签了名，提交多次的，这个开户时候糟糕的体验我还记得。但没想到还是被乌龙了！！ 于是我再次签名提交，点了"Continue"键之后，网页又开始了无尽的Loading State. 于是我转战手机界面，倒是没有loading了，但...

第一篇：为什么要开这个博客

 最近在看一本书： Richer Wiser Happier, 作者William Green。 书里记录了他几十年来采访过的投资者，虽然没有巴菲特这么有名，但是在投资圈都是大佬级别，都有过辉煌的业绩。作者通过和大佬的问答以及他们的成长经历来试图找到成功的秘诀。有一位大佬Howard Marks是 Oaktree Capital Management的联合创始人，其实我对他的投资领域“不良债务”完全没概念，但是让他一战成名的就是2008年金融危机时， 橡树资本筹集了109亿美元的不良债务基金，成功在市场底部买入资产，为投资者带来丰厚回报。 他定期发布的“投资备忘录”受到巴菲特的推崇。 这也提醒我也该记录一下边学边投资的历程， 又便于复习一下学到的知识点，也可以在将来回看现在做的一些决定是否明智。 2025年3月中旬开了投资账户，小买了些美股和日股，眼看投资组合的表现往上走了，4月初川普的关税政策一出台，所有股票大跌，我的portfolio也是一片惨淡。 之后几天又是上蹿下跳了一阵，但始终没恢复元气。 我关注的youtuber基本都是长线投资，所以都在强调DCA(Dollar Cost Average)定投的重要性，小跌小买，大跌大买。如果错过了投资股市最佳10天的机会，整个投资回报就会减少一半。这时候就深切体会到现金流的重要性，虽然知道大跌大买的道理，但是没子弹也打不了仗，有点手脚被捆的感觉。不过作为投资新手，也不要急于求成，毕竟局势难辨，还是以求稳为重。 magnificent 7在三月份股价就开始下跌，可能是对关税预期的反应，然后4月2号的liberation day tariff announcement, 股票都往下来个跳空。 我是在META掉在近期最低点的时候$482买了5支股， 买了之后就涨了，算是近期支撑着我的portfolio的唯一股票，这就印证了书中各位大佬都认同的一个选股标准：“足够便宜”。但其实从基本面看这已经是过高的估值了. 但是分析师们还是看好这只股票，给出高达$900的预期，平均预期也能到$725。所以虽然很想出票，还是忍一忍，看看能回弹到什么程度。
